‘Pati Patni Aur Woh Do’ teaser promises triple the chaos in Ayushmann Khurrana’s tangled love life

Mumbai — The makers of Pati Patni Aur Woh Do unveiled its teaser on Monday, offering a glimpse into a comedy of errors where relationships spiral into delightful chaos.

The teaser cleverly traces the legacy of the franchise, opening with moments from the 1978 classic Pati Patni Aur Woh, starring Sanjeev Kumar, and then shifting to the 2019 remake Pati Patni Aur Woh, led by Kartik Aaryan. It then transitions into the latest installment, introducing a fresh, contemporary storyline.

At the centre of the madness is Ayushmann Khurrana, who plays Prajapati Pandey—a man caught not between two, but three women. The film amplifies the classic love triangle into a far more complicated (and comedic) situation, packed with confusion and unexpected twists.

Joining him are Sara Ali Khan, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Rakul Preet Singh, each playing pivotal roles that add layers to the narrative. Vijay Raaz also appears as a cop, bringing his signature comic timing into the mix.

Directed by Mudassar Aziz and backed by T-Series and B R Studios, the film is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Renu Ravi Chopra, and Krishan Kumar, with Juno Chopra as the creative producer.

The film is slated for a theatrical release on May 15, 2026.

For context, the original 1978 film explored extra-marital relationships through satire and social commentary, while the 2019 remake gave it a modern, comic twist. This new chapter appears to push the concept further, turning a love triangle into a full-blown comedic maze.
