Ranchi – Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren met today with a delegation from the Tribal Coordination Committee of India (Assam) at the Jharkhand State Assembly. During the meeting, the members apprised the Chief Minister of the various challenges faced by tribal communities residing in Assam, as well as their current socio-economic conditions.
The delegation informed the Chief Minister that the apathy of the Assam government has led to severe hardship for tribal groups there, resulting in social and developmental setbacks. They stressed that these communities continue to lag behind in every sphere.
Chief Minister Hemant Soren listened attentively and assured the delegation that the Jharkhand government would take constructive steps to safeguard the rights, entitlements, and identity of the tribal population living in Assam.
