Bokaro: As part of Vigilance Awareness Week, Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL)’s Vigilance Department is organizing a series of events under the theme ‘Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility’ to promote awareness and integrity both at the workplace and in society.
A key event, titled “Sajag Saathi – Partners in Integrity,” was held at the Learning & Development Centre of the HR Department, where spouses of 20 BSL employees participated enthusiastically. The event began with an Integrity Pledge administered by Chief General Manager (Vigilance) & ACVO Gyanesh Jha.
Participants shared their views on honesty, vigilance, and ethical responsibility through inspiring poetry by Deepti Jha, Richa Priyadarshini, and Komal. A short film on anti-corruption highlighted the role of families in shaping integrity, followed by an interactive session where participants shared personal experiences and perspectives on ethical living. To increase engagement, a team quiz on integrity was conducted, with Team Orchid declared winners and Team Durga as runners-up. The event was anchored by Chitra Parashar, Senior Manager (Vigilance), and concluded with a vote of thanks by Saumya Khati, Manager (Vigilance).
In another initiative, a bilingual speech competition was organized at Mithila Academy Public School, where eight students from Classes 6 to 12 showcased their understanding of integrity and ethics. Gyanesh Jha graced the event as chief guest. The event was anchored by Monika Madhu, with coordination by teacher Ragini Jha.
In Hindi category, Yogesh Kumar secured first place, followed by Aradhya Raj and Somya Surabhi. In English, Parul Anuradha Yadav came first, with Shraddha Singh and Sania Rahman in second and third positions respectively. Around 80 students also took the Integrity Pledge.
The events highlighted that integrity, transparency, and ethical conduct are values that must extend beyond offices—into families and communities as well.
