Trisha trashes wedding rumours; says ‘I love when people plan my life for me’

Chennai — Actress Trisha on Friday dismissed reports suggesting that she was set to marry a Chandigarh-based businessman, responding with a sarcastic post on Instagram.

Sharing a story on her handle, Trisha wrote: “I love when people plan my life for me. Just waiting for them to schedule the honeymoon too.”

Her remark came after certain media outlets claimed that the actress’s family was in talks with a businessman’s family in Chandigarh about a wedding. Trisha has often faced such baseless rumours in the past.

This month has already been stressful for the star. Just last week, her residence in Teynampet received a bomb threat, prompting police to conduct an intensive search with sniffer dogs. Fortunately, the threat turned out to be a hoax.

On the professional front, Trisha has a busy schedule with two major projects. She will star opposite Megastar Chiranjeevi in director Vassishta’s much-awaited socio-fantasy film Vishwambhara, slated for release in summer 2026 under the UV Creations banner. The film promises a mix of mythology and emotion.

She is also playing the female lead opposite actor Suriya in Karuppu, directed by R J Balaji and produced by Dream Warrior Pictures. The action drama features Suriya as a lawyer named Saravanan and also stars Malayalam actors Indrans, Sshivada, Swasika, along with Yogi Babu and Natty. The film’s music is composed by Sai Abhyankkar, with cinematography by GK Vishnu of Bigil, Jawan, and Mersal fame.

With multiple films lined up, Trisha continues to remain one of the busiest and most prominent stars in South Indian cinema — even as she brushes aside rumours about her personal life.
