Shrenu Parikh Calls Portraying Goddess Parvati in Gatha Shiv Parivaar Ki – Ganesh Kartikey a Blessing

Mumbai – Actress Shrenu Parikh, who will be seen as Goddess Parvati in the upcoming show Gatha Shiv Parivaar Ki – Ganesh Kartikey, described the opportunity as a true blessing. She said Parvati represents not just shakti (divine power), strength, and balance, but also embodies the relatable emotions of a mother and a wife.

Speaking about the role, Shrenu said: “It is a blessing and an honour to portray Goddess Parvati in Ganesh Kartikey. Parvati is not only the embodiment of strength, balance, and shakti, but also a mother and a wife with deeply relatable emotions.”

She added: “The show beautifully portrays how even divine stories are rooted in love, guilt, resilience, and togetherness. I feel grateful to bring such a powerful yet humanised version of the goddess to audiences.”

The series will showcase the extraordinary journey of Lord Shiva, Goddess Parvati, and their sons Lord Ganesh and Lord Kartikeya. At its heart, the show highlights the wisdom of the parents, the bond between two brothers, and the universal emotions of a family.

Shrenu Parikh is widely recognised for her roles as Aastha Agnihotri in Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon? Ek Baar Phir and Gauri Trivedi Singh Oberoi in Ishqbaaaz.

The 35-year-old actress made her film debut in 2017 and went on to appear in another film in 2018. On television, she has portrayed varied characters such as the manipulative Jhanvi Mittal in Ek Bhram…Sarvagun Sampanna, the devoted Genda Agrawal in Ghar Ek Mandir – Kripa Agrasen Maharaj Ki, and Maitree.

Shrenu began her acting career in 2010 with a cameo in Zindgi Ka Har Rang…Gulaal. She later bagged her first lead role in Havan (2011) and went on to star in Byaah Hamari Bahoo Ka in 2012.
