Mumbai- Actress Tisca Chopra is currently in Kashmir for a short getaway, and she can’t stop gushing over the valley’s breathtaking beauty, which she describes as nothing short of cinematic.
The Taare Zameen Par star shared a video on Instagram, standing against the lush green backdrop of Kashmir, recalling how she has been enchanted by the region ever since her first college trip there.
“Been hooked on Kashmir since my first college trip there … the valley’s beauty is pure cinema, and its people are the warmest subplot,” she captioned her post.
Clad in a green outfit, Tisca appeared mesmerised by the natural charm of the landscape, setting the mood with Lana Del Rey’s track “Salvatore” playing in the background.
On Sunday, she also revisited memories of working with Malayalam superstar Mammootty in the 2008 action-comedy Maya Bazar. Sharing a still from the film on Instagram, she wrote a heartfelt note to wish him on his birthday.
Reflecting on that time, she said, “When @mammootty called me for Maya Bazar, I was awed. Mamukka has always been spoken of with reverence – the kind reserved only for legends. When I reached Kochi, I discovered not just a legend but a man deeply curious about the world, surrounded by gadgets, phones, tablets, and gaming setups.”
Tisca also recalled struggling with her Malayalam dialogues, when Mammootty stepped in to guide her. “He stuck post-its with my dialogues (in Roman English!) to his forehead and said, ‘Forget the words, just feel the emotion.’”
Fondly reminiscing about their bond, she shared a special Ramzan memory: “One evening, I found him breaking his fast quietly in a gazebo. I must have been eyeing his food because he laughed and promised to bring me some the next day. And just like that, sharing home food with Mamukka during iftar became one of my dearest memories.”
