Mumbai — Actor Hrithik Roshan believes his upcoming action film War 2, co-starring NTR, will be a must-watch for movie lovers.
Hrithik said the love and appreciation he received for his role as Kabir in the first War reminded him of the response he got for his earlier hits like Kaho Na Pyaar Hai, Dhoom 2, and Krrish.
Speaking about returning to the role, he said:
“This time I’m back as Kabir, and it’s such a joy to play a character that people loved so much. In War 2, Kabir is more intense, more conflicted, and far more emotional than before. I think it’s going to be something unmissable.”
Filming, however, wasn’t easy. Hrithik had to push through multiple serious injuries during production, but he believes all the pain was worth it.
“It was tough to keep going with the pain and injuries, but we worked very hard. While shooting, I sometimes wondered if it was worth it—but seeing the love people have for the film makes it clear that it is,” said the Super 30 star.
Directed by Ayan Mukerji and produced by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films, War 2 is part of the YRF Spy Universe. It will also star Kiara Advani and feature NTR in his Bollywood debut.
The film will release on August 14 in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil, with screenings planned in Dolby Cinema formats in North America, the UK, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and other global markets.
