Ankita Lokhande & Vicky Jain Talk About the ‘Spice’ in Their Relationship on Laughter Chef 2

Mumbai: Popular television couple Ankita Lokhande and Vicky Jain brought not just their cooking talents but also their sense of humor to the second season of the reality show Laughter Chef.

In an exclusive chat with IANS, the couple was asked whether anyone ever ran out of “masala” on the show—or if there was ever a lack of “namak” (salt) in their relationship.

Vicky replied with a laugh, “Someone else may have run out of masala, but in our relationship, there’s always been plenty of spice.”

Ankita chimed in, “And that spice is exactly what makes us fun and entertaining!”

Talking about who added more “mirch” (heat) on the show—Ankita through her cooking or Vicky through his jokes—the couple had some playful disagreement.

Ankita said it was Vicky’s sense of humor that brought the heat, while Vicky countered, “No way, it was Ankita and her mirch!”

When asked what made them agree to return for Season 2, Ankita revealed, “Initially, we both said no. We didn’t think we could do it again.”

Vicky added, “But we have a strong relationship with Colors, and we couldn’t say no to them.”

“Thank God we didn’t!” Ankita exclaimed. “If we had watched the season later, we would’ve regretted it.”

Vicky laughed, “Actually, a lot of people did say no to Season 2—and we’re thankful they did!”

Ankita added with a smile, “Absolutely! Their no turned into our yes, and what a wonderful experience it’s been.”

Reflecting on their cooking journey, Ankita admitted, “To be honest, we learned everything on the show—and forgot it all right there too!”

Vicky joked, “Maybe we’ll find out how much we retained when we do the next cooking show.”

“We only cook when Laughter Chef is on. Other than that, I have zero interest in cooking,” Ankita said.

Vicky agreed, “Same here. Whatever I learn, it’s only because of the pressure of the show.”
