Ranchi: The Administrative Reforms Committee of the Jharkhand government has recommended the creation of a total of 7,432 posts across various state universities. The proposal includes 3,256 teaching positions and 4,176 non-teaching staff and officer roles. The recommendation was made during a meeting chaired by the Chief Secretary.
For Vinod Bihari Mahato Koylanchal University, 299 teaching positions and 400 non-teaching staff and officer roles are recommended, totalling 699 posts. Binoba Bhave University is recommended to have 349 teaching positions and 381 non-teaching staff and officers, making a total of 730 posts. Kolhan University would have 497 teaching posts and 624 non-teaching staff and officers, totalling 1,121 positions.
For Sir JC Bose University in Giridih, 352 teaching positions and 359 non-teaching staff and officer roles are recommended, which sums up to 711 posts. Pandit Raghunath Murmu Tribal University would have 55 non-teaching staff and officer positions. Dr. Shyam Prasad Mukherjee University is proposed to have 77 teaching posts and 91 non-teaching staff and officers, making a total of 168 positions.
Jamshedpur Women’s University would have 66 teaching positions and 79 non-teaching staff and officers, totalling 145 posts. Jharkhand Raksha Shakti University would see 54 teaching posts and 85 non-teaching staff and officer roles, bringing the total to 139 positions. Ranchi University is proposed to have 641 teaching positions and 1,057 non-teaching staff and officers, making a total of 1,698 posts.
Nilamber-Pitamber University is recommended to have 341 teaching positions and 425 non-teaching staff and officer roles, totalling 766 posts. Siddho-Kanho University would have 580 teaching positions and 620 non-teaching staff and officers, summing up to 1,200 posts.
