J’khand Govt to provide Cash back on payment of online electric bill

Ranchi, Apr 19: Additional  Chief Secretary -cum-Development Commissioner Amit Khare said that in order to promote digital payment in Jharkhand, the government has decided to give cash back on payment of online payment of electric bills.

 

Addressing a meeting of the Jharkhand Vidyut Vitaran Nigam Ltd he said that after the proposal is approved from Jharkhand State Electricity Regulatory Commission, this facility will be started on online payment of electric bills.

 

He said that 1pc or maximum 50 rupees cash back will be given on online payment of each electric bills. It will also promote regular bill payment. Mr Khare said that the received cash back can be used for payment of next electricity bill and will remain valid for 50 days.

Mr Khare said that 25 lakh consumers will be benefitted from this scheme and it will also help the power distribution company in easy collection of bills.
