Ranchi: CPI-ML MLA from Bagodar Binod Singh was given the award for the outstanding MLA on the occasion of the 22nd Foundation Day of the Jharkhand Assembly.
Governor Ramesh Bais honoured the MLA during the function in which he was presented with a shawl momento and honorary reward amount.
Speaking on the occasion Singh first thanked the people of his constituency and paid his tributes to Bhagwan Birsa Munda.
He stressed the need to make the legislative process more transparent. Recalling the fond association with his father late Mahendra Singh who had also served as an MLA from the constituency he said that his father had a huge attachment towards books and how in his growing years most of the conversation between the two was based on books.
From the stage, he announced that the money which he had received as a reward he would be donating the same for buying books in the colleges of his constituency.
