Ranchi: The State Resource Team state-level three-day training workshop regarding the public planning campaign concluded at the Central Training Institute of Panchayati Raj Department located at Hehal here.
In the workshop Additional Secretary Ministry of Panchayati Raj Department Chandrashekhar highlighted the importance of transformation of rural local bodies and gram sabhas in formulating the overall GPDP to meet the aspirations of the gram panchayat.
He also emphasized that since the Panchayats are now aware of the various grants from the Central and State Governments they have to try to plan a concrete GPDP, which includes the activities identified by the Panchayats as well as by the concerned departments and the State Livelihood Mission.
The VPRP being created is also to be included. He emphasized the importance of including the Village Poverty Alleviation Plan (VPRP)with the GPDP. Director of Panchayati Raj Directorate Rajeshwari B gave detailed information regarding the nine subjects identified under the localization of the goals of sustainable development.
Necessary guidance was given to all the participants for timely entry of data on panchayat awards at district level/block level/gram panchayat level.
