Jharkhand govt forms coordination committee to expedite state’s development

Ranchi: Jharkhand government has constituted a Jharkhand State Coordination Committee under the chairmanship of JMM patriarch and Rajya Sabha member Shibu Soren to find the possibilities of balanced development and chalk out the developmental plan to fulfill the aspiration of people from the state government.

The members of the committee include Congress state president Rajesh Thakur, Congress MLA Sarfaraz Ahmed besides other senior leaders including Fagu Besra, Vinod Pandey, and Yogendra Mahto. The list of specially invited members of the committee includes state ministers Alamgir Alam and Satyanand Bhokta. Congress state executive committee member Bandhu Tirkey will be its invited member.

According to the letter issued by the cabinet coordination department, the tenure of the committee will be three years. The committee will give its advice to the government from time to time. The office of the committee will be at the residence of Shibu Soren and meetings will take place monthly. Secretarial support to the committee will be given by the cabinet secretariat and vigilance (coordination) department.
