Litterateurs & writers guide the society selflessly: Champai Soren

Ranchi: Minister of Scheduled Tribes, Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes Welfare Champai Soren said that litterateurs and writers work selflessly. as they guide society with their writing and research.

Addressing litterateurs, writers and research scholars on the second day of the Tribal Seminar organized at Tribal Research Institute Morhabadi on the occasion of Jharkhand Tribal Festival 2022 on Wednesday he said that they have an important contribution to knowing and understanding the civilization, and culture of the tribal society.

Champai Soren said that in today’s modern era people have to move ahead by preserving the culture and civilization of the tribal society. He said that there is a need to learn to keep and strengthen society. He said that for years people been talking of tribal upliftment and there is also a separate ministry for this but what is the real development of the tribals even today he asked.

He further said seminars will help in knowing what is the status of the civilization, culture and social system of the tribal society. The minister said that in the Jharkhand Tribal Festival is celebrated on the occasion of World Tribal Day, efforts are being made to know the art-culture, living style of tribal society from all over the country.

On the occasion of World Tribal Day, Chief Minister Hemant Soren has decided to celebrate it as Jharkhand Tribal Festival. On this occasion, by organizing a two-day Tribal Seminar at Tribal Research Institute, Morhabadi, discussions are being held on how much tribal society has saved and lost its history, customs. It will be celebrated on an even bigger scale in the years to come, he added.

On the occasion, Welfare Secretary KK Soan said that now people have to think about the empowerment of this society along with the upliftment of the tribal society. He said that by organizing such seminars in Jharkhand Tribal Festival, the views of writers, research scholars, people of tribal communities from different parts of the country will be shared and will get valuable suggestions from them which will help in the development and empowerment of tribal society.
