Govt committed to increase income and bring prosperity among farmers and workers: Hemant Soren

Hazaribagh: Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that about 70 percent population of the state lives in rural areas therefore in such a situation the government is committed to increasing the income of farmers and workers and bringing prosperity and happiness in their lives.

Addressing a divisional level KCC distribution cum awareness camp here he said that when the capacity of the villagers will increase, the state will also become strong. He said that in the interest of farmers and workers and to support them, the government is working to prepare action plans and bring them to the ground.

For KCC loans the bankers have been directed to provide all possible help to the farmers he said adding when everyone steps forward then only all will be able to move towards progress.

The Chief Minister said that farmers and workers are getting the benefits of the schemes of the government or not for this the work
of inspecting the execution of the schemes is being seen at the ground level. By organizing programs like these he himself is coming among the people and working to cover them with schemes.

He said that under the government’s Birsa Harit Gram Yojana work is being done to encourage every villager to plant fruit trees. Just as the lease of the forest, the lease of the land was allotted, in the same way now the lease of the trees will also be made available to the people he said adding that now rural farmers will also be able to plant fruit trees on government land and the ownership of this fruit tree will also remain with them.

Adding further the Chief Minister said that the state has received less than normal rainfall so far therefore in such a situation, the risk of drought is increasing which is a matter of concern for all but despite that the government is also ready to deal with it. The Chief
Minister said that all have worked together to solve many problems in two and a half years and are working together in a systematic way to solve this problem also.

Agriculture Officers have been appointed so that farmers can get the right advice for farming he said adding that in these drought-like conditions, farmers can do farming on the advice of these officials for what to do and what not to do. He said that the government is doing all possible work for the upliftment of the state with the help of tribals.

The Chief Minister said that work is being done to reach the schemes in remote areas through the government’s Aapke Dwar program. Due to which now the officials are going from village to village and working for the people. He said that youngsters are getting appointment letters in JPSC in record time. Old age, helpless, widow are being covered by pension as the government is working for the social security of the common people.

He said that work has been done to fulfill the old pension demand of lakhs of government employees. In this program, about Rs, 19081.74 lakh was distributed as a KCC loan among 42,893 Kisan Credit Card holders of the North Chotanagpur division by the Chief Minister. At the same time, a total of 75 schemes worth Rs 58,97,01,161 were inaugurated and a total of 77 schemes worth Rs 1,46,74,74,444 were laid.
