Ranchi DC holds meeting with incident commanders

Ranchi: Fearing the onset of second wave of coronavirus DP Chhavi Ranjan on Thursday chaired a meeting with the incident commanders during which he said that the virus is rapidly spreading in the capital therefore all of them needed to work on a war footing.

During the meeting detailed information was collected from the incident commanders regarding total active cases number of home isolation cases number of patients admitted at covid care centre details of declaration of containment zone and barricading etc.

He directed the circle officers of Argora Kanke and Badgai to ensure barricading as per the rules at the houses of positive patients and also ensure  pasting of posters. He said that within 48 hours the covid patient should be kept in home isolation or be shifted at the covid care centre and even the task of declaring containment zone and posters pasting should be completed on time during the meeting. The work being done in the rural area by the incident commanders was also reviewed.

The DC said that he will undertake random inspection of containment zones to witness whether the works are being realised on the ground or not. In the meeting he clearly instructed all the incident commanders that permission for home isolation will only be granted as per covid-19 rules. Further it is also important to take the undertaking from the patients who are in home isolation, he highlighted.

The DC said that the medical teams should at least twice in a week should visit the patients at their homes who have opted for home isolation.
