Ranchi, Nov 6: A student of BA part 2 committed suicide by hanging herself in a hostel located under Lower Bazar Police Station area of the state capital.
The deceased has been identified as Megha Prajapati, a resident of Bundu. She was a student of English Honours Part -2 in the Marwrai College and use to live in Vinayakam Girls Hostel located on RG Street of Tharpakna. Upon receiving information the parents of the girl also reached on the spot.
Upon receiving information DSP City Rajkumar Mehta reached on the spot and inquired into the incident. He said that police has recovered a suicide note from the room of the girl in which she has confessed that she was under stress due to her poor exams. The police later sent the body for post-mortem to RIMS.
Later the police also questioned the warned, hostel owner and the friends of the girl. A team of the forensic experts was also called on the spot to examine the spot where the body has been found. However the family members have termed the entire student as suspicious.
