Ranchi: The sixth phase of voting for the Lok Sabha elections is to be held on Saturday (May 25).
In the sixth phase in Jharkhand, voting is to be held in Ranchi, Dhanbad, Jamshedpur and Giridih Lok Sabha.
The responsibility of conducting elections in all four Lok Sabha is 35852 polling personnel.
Tight security arrangements have been made at all the booths.
8963 polling stations have been created in Jharkhand for the sixth phase.
Out of which there are 3361 polling stations in urban and 5602 rural areas.
This time all the booths have been made like model booths.
Of these, 15 booths have been made unique.
Where the district administration will create artwork on the theme of their area.
Out of these, 186 Paulin stations will be operated by women.
Besides, 12 polling booths will be operated by PWD personnel and 22 polling booths will be operated by youth.
Voting will be monitored by the Election Commission through web casting from these polling centres. Two 4D cameras have been installed at every booth.
2377 polling stations have been set up in the Ranchi area.
In which 949 are in urban areas, 1428 in rural areas. 2539 polling stations have been set up in Dhanbad Lok Sabha constituency, out of which 1316 are in urban areas, while there are 1223 polling stations in rural areas.
1887 polling stations have been set up in Jamshedpur, of which 688 are in urban areas and 1199 are in rural areas.
Whereas 2160 polling stations have been set up in Giridih Lok Sabha, out of which 408 are in urban areas and 1752 are in rural areas.
There are 766 voters above 100 years of age in these four Lok Sabha.
Of these, 413 are male and 353 female voters.
In which 182 voters, 119 in Giridih, 359 in Ranchi, 222 in Dhanbad and 66 in Jamshedpur are above 100 years of age.
11652 VVPAT machines will be used to conduct elections in these four Lok Sabha.
In which 30 have been kept in reserve.
Whereas 21511 ballot units and 10756 control units will be used.
In which 20 percent has been kept in reserve.
These four seats cover 6 districts and 24 assembly constituencies of the state.
93 candidates are in the fray from these four Lok Sabha seats.
27 candidates are in the fray from Ranchi, 25 from Dhanbad, 16 from Giridih and 25 from Jamshedpur.
According to the Election Commission data, 82 lakh 16 thousand 506 voters of Jharkhand will participate in the sixth phase.
In which there are 42 lakh 06 thousand 926 male voters and 40 lakh 09 thousand 260 female voters.
Dhanbad has the highest number of voters 22 lakh 85 thousand 237.
Whereas 24 lakh 97 thousand 331 voters in Ranchi, 18 lakh 69 thousand 278 voters in Jamshedpur and 18 lakh 64 thousand 660 voters in Giridih will exercise their franchise.
