Ranchi: The nomination process for Chamber elections concluded on Wednesday. By the final date, 44 candidates remained in the race for executive committee posts. Among them, 15 are new entrants trying their luck for the first time, while professionals such as Lay Prakash, a chartered accountant, and Nidhi Jhunjhunwala, a company secretary, are also contesting.
Senior faces like Tulsi Patel have returned after nearly eight years, whereas Paresh Gatani chose not to contest. Other candidates include Aditya Malhotra, Brajesh Kumar, Deendayal Barnwal, Jyoti Kumari, Kamlesh Saincheti, Manish Kumar Sarraf, Naveen Agrawal, Pramod Kumar Srivastava, Rahul Sabu, Sahitya Pawan, and Vikas Agrawal. Six candidates withdrew their nominations by the last date.
Election officers Pawan Sharma and Vikas Singh told reporters that regional vice president posts across all six divisions will be filled unopposed. Single nominations from each division – Kolhan, Koylanchal, North Chotanagpur, South Chotanagpur, Palamu, and Santhal Pargana – ensured uncontested selections. Formal announcements will be made along with executive election results. Unopposed vice presidents include Vijay Anand Monka (Kolhan), Amarjeet Singh Saluja (Koylanchal), Vinay Kumar Agrawal (North Chotanagpur), Uday Shankar Dubey (Palamu), Sanjay Agrawal (Santhal Pargana), and Ramesh Kumar (South Chotanagpur).
