35,000 Pragya Centers will be opened in all Panchayats – CM

Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren reviewed a high-level meeting with Bureaucrats at Project Building in Ranchi on Friday.

CM ordered Deputy Commissioners of respective districts to open Pragya Centers in all the panchayats of all 24 districts. CM said, “Villagers should not make a round of Blocks to make a birth certificate, death certificate, caste certificate, Income Certificate, to make an Aadhar Card.”

CM added in the next three months Electricity, water connectivity, Generator, Internet Connectivity and Security should be provided in Pragya Centers. At present, there are 20,000 Pragya Centers running in the state. CM ordered Bureaucrats to increase their numbers up to 35,000. All Pragya Centers should be completely Computerised.

All Pragya Centers would be linked with Nationalised Banks and Post Offices. Women who are working in Sakhi Mandal (Women Self Help Group) should handle Pragya Centers. CM said to the officials of the Panchayati Raj Department to take benefits from the 15th Finance Commission.

CM also reviewed a meeting with the officials of Commission of Schedule Tribe/Scheduled Caste and Other Backward Class (ST/SC and OBC). To allocate Pre Matric and Post Matric Scholarships to Students. According to information provided by the department till now Rupees 104 Crores were distributed in the 2022-2023 fiscal year. Beneficiaries should get faster recruitment from Chief Minister Employment Policy.

CM reviewed the status of the development work of the women and child development department of the state government. He directed Bureaucrats to assure him that no one was behind in getting the benefits of the Old Age Pension Policy of the State Government. 

CM said in a few areas of the state Cases of Handicapped people are rising. DC should submit a report after conducting a survey. CM gave instructions to DC of all the districts to construct 11,000 new Anganwadi in the state from Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Fund.

7 Lakh 29 thousand of girls benefited with Savitri Bai Phule Kisori Samridhi Yojna. On the last day of a two-day long meeting on the development projects of the state government, CM reviewed the Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Department of State Government. 

Till August 14, All Farmers should get a Kishan Credit Card. A total of 24 Lakh Farmers will be benefited from Kishan Credit Card in the state. Rupees 10,912 Crore allocated to Farmers in the last 2 years. 

Chief Minister Agriculture Loan Relief Fund should be utilised by farmers. All cattle should come under the Insurance Scheme of Chief Minister Animal Insurance Scheme. Seeds and fertilizers should be brought for the production of Kharif Crop. All districts should get Urea and DAP fertilizer in this fiscal year. 

Chief Secretary Sukhdeo Singh, Additional Chief Secretary Arun Kumar Singh, Principal Secretary Vandana Dadel, and Vinay Choubey along with Bureaucrats were present in the meeting.
