Ranchi: Women and Child Development Minister Jobha Manjhi said on Wednesday till now we have rescued 32 Child Labourers of which 7 from Palamu, 5 From Dumka, 4 from West Singhbhum, 4 From Giridih, 4 from Hazaribagh, 3 from Deoghar, 2 from Simdega, and one each from Ranchi, Dhanbad and Gumla.
Women and Child Development Department Secretary Kripanand Jha and MGNREGA cum Jharkhand State Child Welfare Association Secretary Rajeshwari B launched a statewide campaign against Child Labour as per the directions of Minister Jobha Manhji.
All districts of Jharkhand have been in alert mode and an awareness campaign launched. The raid team is ready to rescue children who are working in Coal Mining areas, Hotels, or shops and at anyone’s residence. MGNREGA Commissioner and Child Welfare Association Secretary Rajeshwari B reviewed the status of this campaign through Video Conferencing.
