2567 Buddha Jayanti Celebrated at Jharkhand Armed Police (JAP) – I Ground in Ranchi

Ranchi: 2567 Buddha Jayanti Celebrated on the occasion of Vehsak Purnima or Buddha Purnima celebrations at a monastery in Jharkhand Armed Police (JAP) – I Ground in Ranchi on Friday.

Buddhists offered prayer to lord Buddha at the Monastery in the morning.

Buddhist monks and a large number of followers carried their holy book ‘Domang’ and carried an idol of Lord Buddha during a religious procession on the auspicious day of the Buddha Purnima Festival in Ranchi.

Buddhist lit 1008 Lamps to celebrate Buddha Jayanti on this occasion.

The entire Monastery is filled with Buddhist religious flags.

Prabhat Pheri was organised on this occasion.

The entire Gumba or Monastery was decorated and children were seen exiting wearing new clothes and celebrated on this occasion.

Madan Singh Lama, Secretary of Gumba or Buddhist Monastery said, “Buddha Jayanti is celebrated to spread the message of Lord Buddha and peaceful living Standard in the society.”

“Buddhism always promotes truth and peace on society in a disciplined way” said, Rinku Tamang, A Buddhist Follower.

On this occasion Prasad was distributed among thousands of devotees at JAP – I ground.
