Ranchi: With the NTA releasing the marks for JEE Main 2023, the Jharkhand government has also released a list of 23 students that cleared the Mains.
Toppers among these students include Dhiraj Barnwal (99.19%), Himanshu Mahato (96.97%), Abhishekh Mahato (95.97%), Rajesh Kumar Mahato (95.59%), Manish Kumar (95.18%), Narendra Nath Mahato (91.47%), Ravi Yadav (91.01%), Pintu Kumar Mandal (89.38%), Sonam Kumari (89.33%), and Sima Kumari (88%) among others.
Talking in this regard, officials claimed that the Akanksha Yojana has been started by the Department of School Education and Literacy, Government of Jharkhand in the financial year 2016-17.
“Under this scheme, poor and meritorious children studying in government schools are being provided inter-science studies free of cost along with preparation for the entrance examination of medical and engineering.
In Akanksha Scheme, students who pass JAC Board are selected and students are trained with a free residential facility under the guidance of skilled teachers,” officials added.
Further commenting on the large amounts of money spent by parents, they said that parents spend lakhs in private tuition classes to achieve this success, while under the Akanksha scheme, the government is providing free accommodation, food and education to the students.
