Ranchi: Ex-serviceman Podna Balmuchu met Chief Minister Hemant Soren in the Chief Minister’s Chamber located in the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly and handed over a memorandum.
He informed the Chief Minister about the fact that 5 acres of agricultural land and other facilities have not yet been given to the injured soldier in the year 1971 (India- Pakistan) war as per the order of the Government of India.
Ex-serviceman Podana Balamuchu said to the Chief Minister that he was shot while fighting in the year 1971 (India-Pakistan) war and was seriously injured. Therefore, a written order was given by the Government of India to give 5 acres of agricultural land and other facilities as a gallantry award to the soldiers who were injured in the war, but she was still deprived of these facilities.
He said that he was 80 years old and at the end of his life. The Chief Minister listened to the words of the ex-serviceman with rapt attention and taking the matter seriously assured him that the state government would take appropriate action on his demands soon.
