Ranchi — The 16th Finance Commission delegation, led by Chairman Arvind Panagariya, received a traditional and ceremonial welcome upon their arrival in Deoghar on Thursday. As part of their visit, the team paid homage at the sacred Baba Baidyanath Temple, where they offered prayers and performed religious rituals.
Prior to the temple visit, the delegation was formally welcomed by the Shrine Board on the temple premises with customary honors.
Alongside Chairman Arvind Panagariya, the visiting delegation included Anni Gorai, Manoj Panda, Pushpanjali Panda, Dr. Soumyakanti Ghosh, Ritvik Pandey, Prashant Kumar Panda, Kumar Vivek, Priya Saraf, Manish Gupta, Shikha Singh, Komal Singh, and Shyam Lal.
Following the temple proceedings, the team proceeded to the Circuit House in Deoghar for a scheduled meeting. Discussions during the session are expected to focus on key financial planning strategies and development-related priorities for the region.
