Ranchi: Retired senior journalist Srinivas of Prabhat Khabar will be honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award and a cash prize of ₹51,000 at the Jharkhand Journalism Awards 2025, jointly organized by Ranchi Press Club and RBS Vedic Trust.
In addition, Shakil Akhtar, retired senior journalist of Prabhat Khabar, will receive the Best Reporting (Print) award, Rajkumar Singh of Samacharwala will be awarded Best Reporting (Electronic), senior photojournalist Manik Bose of Dainik Bhaskar will get Best Photography (Print), and senior video journalist Rakesh Tiwari of AajTak will receive Best Video Journalist (Electronic). Each of these awardees will receive a cash prize of ₹25,000.
The awards will be presented at a ceremony on November 2, 2025, at Hotel Rain Dew in Lalpur. The chief guest will be senior journalist and Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Harivansh, who will personally felicitate the winners.
The jury, which announced the winners, included senior journalist and former Information Commissioner Baijnath Mishra, retired IAS officer Ranendra, former Vice-Chancellor of Ranchi University Prof. Ajit Sinha, Ranchi Press Club President Surendra Soren, and RBS Vedic Trust Chief Trustee Nityanand Shukla.
