New Delhi: While the festive season often brings an abundance of rich food and irresistible sweets, actor Pankaj Tripathi prefers to celebrate with restraint. For him, moderation is not just a choice but a lifestyle—even during Diwali.
Speaking to IANS about his post-Diwali fitness routine, Pankaj said, “I don’t eat a lot of sweets, so my weight doesn’t really increase.”
When asked how he manages to resist festive temptations that most find hard to avoid, he smiled and added, “No, I don’t eat sweets at all. I might have five or six sweets on Diwali. I prefer cashews and raisins. I enjoy the good ones—that’s about it.”
On the professional front, Tripathi was recently seen shooting at Ramnagar Fort in Varanasi alongside Ali Fazal for the upcoming film adaptation of Mirzapur. Behind-the-scenes visuals from the set have already gone viral on social media.
The film, directed by Gurmmeet Singh, is slated for release in 2026 and will bring back fan-favourite characters including Kaleen Bhaiya (Pankaj Tripathi), Guddu Pandit (Ali Fazal), and Munna Tripathi (Divyenndu), along with Abhishek Banerjee.
Mirzapur, a crime thriller saga, revolves around Akhandanand “Kaleen” Tripathi, a powerful mafia don and businessman who rules the Purvanchal region of Uttar Pradesh. The series has been filmed extensively across the state, including Mirzapur, Lucknow, Jaunpur, Ghazipur, and Varanasi.
