Simdega: The Simdega police have achieved significant results under their special drive, Operation Red Hunt, with 104 red (permanent) warrants executed within two months. The campaign, conducted in 11 phases, has been carried out on a war footing across the district.
Superintendent of Police Md Arshi said that during this period, 51 accused were arrested in connection with 73 warrants. Verification revealed that 19 individuals named in 21 warrants had died, and their records have been submitted to the court.
Arshi added that mounting pressure from Operation Red Hunt led six wanted individuals to surrender before the court. Meanwhile, four warrants were returned to the court for reasons such as the accused already being in jail, having permanent residence outside the district, or being granted bail.
The SP said the ongoing operation has strengthened law enforcement in the district and marked a decisive step against criminal activity.
