Gumla: A minor boy, identified as Sanju Oraon, was found hanging from a tree in Arangi village under Ghaghra police station area on Thursday morning. Police reached the spot soon after receiving information and sent the body to Gumla Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.
According to reports, Sanju had dinner with his grandparents on Wednesday night and went to his room to sleep. The next morning, villagers found his body hanging from a tree near the house and informed Panchayat Samiti member Jitendra Oraon, who then alerted the police.
Sanju’s father works outside the district, while his mother is no more. He lived with his grandparents. The reason behind the suicide is yet to be determined, and police have begun an investigation into the case.
