Ranchi: JMM representatives expressed optimism following a meeting with Tejashwi Yadav in Patna on Tuesday, discussing the party’s role in the upcoming Bihar assembly elections. JMM central general secretary Vinod Pandey described the meeting as positive, noting that discussions focused on constituencies where JMM has support, potential gains and losses from contesting, and overall election strategy.
The meeting was attended by Vinod Pandey, minister Sudivya Sonu, RJD’s Jharkhand in-charge Bhola Prasad Yadav, Jayprakash Yadav, and Abdulbari Siddiqui.
Sources indicate that JMM has long sought to contest in border constituencies spanning Bihar and Jharkhand, though final seat-sharing decisions among Mahagathbandhan allies remain under careful consideration. JMM has already affirmed its commitment to playing an effective role to secure the alliance’s victory, though its organizational presence in Bihar has historically been limited. The outcome of Tuesday’s discussions will reveal how the party positions itself in the elections.
