Ranchi: In a significant step towards supporting women and celebrating motherhood, the Inner Wheel Club of Ranchi South has established a modern, safe, and hygienic breastfeeding room at the Khadgada Bus Stand in Ranchi. The facility is designed to offer mothers a private, comfortable, and dignified space to nurse their infants while waiting for or traveling via public transport.
The breastfeeding room was formally inaugurated by Gautam Prasad Sahu, Deputy Administrator of the Ranchi Municipal Corporation, in the presence of Club President Neelam Lalit, the club secretary, and other members.
Speaking at the occasion, President Neelam Lalit said, “This room is a tribute to motherhood. Every mother, especially while on the move, deserves a safe and private space to care for her baby.”
The facility includes clean and secure seating, access to drinking water, and essential infant care amenities, ensuring a comfortable and hygienic environment for both mothers and their babies.
This initiative is part of the Inner Wheel Club of Ranchi South’s ongoing commitment to the welfare of women and children. It stands as a testament to the club’s dedication to creating inclusive and supportive public spaces.
