Dhurandhar: The Revenge actor grabs internet’s attention after decades-long career

Mumbai— The buzz around Dhurandhar: The Revenge continues to grow, with social media users now focusing on the actors behind some of the film’s standout characters. One such performer has caught the internet’s attention for his long innings in the industry.

Online discussions on X centred around the character Shirani, the leader of the Balochistan United Force. Users dug into the actor’s background, noting that he has been active in the entertainment industry for over three decades. One post even referenced the song “Ho Jayegi Balle Balle” by Daler Mehndi while identifying the actor as Bimal Oberoi.

Several others joined the conversation, pointing out the nostalgia factor linked to Mehndi’s late-1990s hit and joking about “espionage” being carried out on an espionage movie.

Directed by Aditya Dhar and headlined by Ranveer Singh, Dhurandhar: The Revenge has emerged as a major box-office success. The film has witnessed strong occupancy rates, sold-out shows, and robust performance across dubbed versions, indicating wide pan-India appeal.

Industry voices including Ayushmann Khurrana and Anupam Kher praised its scale and performances, while filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma described its success as a disruption to traditional filmmaking norms.

With its mix of stylised action, nationalism, and star power, the Dhurandhar franchise has evolved into a mass phenomenon, generating viral moments and cultural conversation. However, the film has also sparked debate, with some viewers criticising it as pro-establishment propaganda, adding another layer to the ongoing discourse.
