Mumbai – Actress Dhanashree Verma, in the latest episode of Rise and Fall, opened up about the debate between talent and seniority privilege in the entertainment industry.
Sharing her views, she stressed that her career has been shaped by skill rather than connections. In the fourth episode of the reality series, Dhanashree was seen in a heated exchange with co-contestant Aahana Kumra. She asserted, “I don’t believe in this. I am standing here even when the world is against me, and I am still getting work today. I said this earlier too—I love the industry because people continue to give me opportunities. I am getting film offers not because of what has happened, but because I have talent. So if I stand up for myself, it has nothing to do with experience, it has everything to do with intent.”
Earlier, Verma made headlines for indirectly referring to her ex-husband Yuzi Chahal while speaking about mutual respect in relationships. In an emotional revelation, she admitted that although she faced constant disrespect, she chose not to retaliate.
“When you are in a marriage, you are responsible for safeguarding the other person’s respect too. I could have disrespected him if I wanted, but he was my husband. I respected him then, and I continue to respect the fact that I was married to him,” she said.
Rise and Fall features Arjun Bijlani, Kubbra Sait, Sangeeta Phogat, Anaya Bangar, Aarush Bhola, Akriti Negi, and Noorin Sha working as laborers, while Kiku Sharda, Dhanashree Verma, Aditya Narayan, Aahana Kumra, Bali, Nayandeep Rakshit, Arbaz Patel, and Pawan Singh play rulers. The reality show streams on Amazon MX Player at 12 p.m. and airs on Sony Entertainment Television at 10:30 p.m.
