CCL marks conclusion of Rajbhasha Month with celebration of Hindi language, culture

Ranchi: Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) concluded Rajbhasha Month 2025 with a grand ceremony and award distribution function at Gangotri Auditorium, Darbhanga House, Ranchi. The event, held in a vibrant and dignified setting, celebrated the growing reach of Hindi and its cultural significance within the organisation.

The chief guest, Nilendu Kumar Singh, Chairman-cum-Managing Director of CCL, and special guest Dr Nagesh Singh, senior litterateur and former head of the Hindi Department at Ranchi University, graced the event. On this occasion, Dr Singh was honoured with the “CCL Rajbhasha Samman – 2025” for his contribution to Hindi literature and linguistic promotion.

The event was attended by Director (Finance) Pawan Kumar Mishra, Director (HR) Harsh Nath Mishra, Director (Technical/Operations) Chandra Shekhar Tiwari, Director (Planning & Projects) Shankar Nagachari, Chief Vigilance Officer Pankaj Kumar, CCL employees, students, and parents from several schools.

Welcoming the guests, Sanjay Thakur, General Manager (Rajbhasha/Admin), highlighted the importance of linguistic inclusion in official communication. Winners of competitions held during Rajbhasha Month—such as essay writing, translation, quiz, travel memoir, and Hindi typing—were awarded, along with students from 23 participating schools in inter-school contests.

The cultural segment featured a dance drama based on “Ram Ki Shakti Puja” by Nirala, along with performances titled “Dharmo Rakshati Rakshitah” and “Hindi Hai Hum”, reflecting unity through language and heritage.

In his address, CMD Nilendu Kumar Singh said, “Hindi is not just a medium of communication but a reflection of our culture, identity, and pride. Our commitment to the Rajbhasha mission represents respect for language and collective effort to make Hindi a part of our everyday work and life.”
