Mumbai- Actor Gautam Gulati and actress Priyanka Chahar Chaudhary were involved in a heated confrontation in the latest episode of streaming reality show ‘Rise and Fall’ Season 2, with their disagreement escalating into a sharp exchange over trust, respect and personal differences.
The confrontation took place in the Tower shortly before Priyanka’s Fall and later continued in the Red Room, where Gautam explained why he had named her. He accused Priyanka of behaving disrespectfully towards seniors and said he felt she had broken his trust by interacting warmly with someone who, according to him, had previously disrespected him.
“I am a man of respect, I really don’t like shady people. I really don’t like people jo ek overlapping mein baat karte hai, jinko tameez nahi hai baat karni ki, apne seniors se badtameezi karte ho and then appreciating people,” Gautam said, explaining his position.
He further alleged that Priyanka had repeatedly hugged and laughed with the person in question and appreciated someone who had disrespected him in front of others.
When Gautam suggested that they discuss the matter later, Priyanka made it clear that she did not intend to speak to him for the remainder of the season. She accused him of lying and challenged him, saying, “Whatever you said was a lie, you are a liar Gautam Gulati… ab aa jao maidan mein.”
Priyanka also rejected Gautam’s objection to her raising her voice and told him, “You can’t stand a strong lady, that’s your graph.”
Gautam responded by framing their confrontation as a clash between two strong personalities, saying, “Because you’re Priyanka, you’re the queen. I am the king here.”
He also took another dig at her attitude, telling her that if she considered herself a heroine, she should “behave like one”. The exchange further intensified the confrontation between the two contestants.
The latest episode brought their differences into sharper focus as the disagreement moved from a dispute over a specific incident to a broader confrontation over respect, trust and their respective positions within the show.
Produced by Banijay Asia and hosted by Virender Sehwag, ‘Rise and Fall’ Season 2 is streaming on Prime Video.
