Mumbai — Actress Shilpa Shetty used World Environmental Health Day to share a simple reminder: slowing down and paying attention to nature can have a positive impact on our sense of well-being.
Taking to Instagram, Shilpa posted a series of pictures and videos from a scenic international getaway, reflecting on the everyday beauty people often overlook amid their busy routines.
“Look around. There’s so much beauty we’ve learnt to simply walk past,” she wrote, pointing to changing skies, flowers, flowing water, the shade of trees and sunsets as small moments that can lift one’s spirits without demanding anything in return.
She emphasised that caring for the environment is closely linked to caring for ourselves.
“On World Environmental Health Day, a little reminder to pause, notice and appreciate the world around us, our wellness and wellbeing is intertwined with the environment, and we need to value and preserve them both,” she added.
Observed annually on September 26, World Environmental Health Day highlights the connection between environmental conditions and human health, while encouraging greater awareness of the need for cleaner and healthier surroundings.
Shilpa’s post also comes as the actress continues to balance her work in films and other professional commitments.
She was last seen in ‘Sukhee’, directed by Sonal Joshi in her directorial debut. The film features Shilpa alongside Amit Sadh, Dilnaz Irani, Kusha Kapila and Pavleen Gujral.
‘Sukhee’ follows Sukhpreet “Sukhee” Kalra, a 38-year-old Punjabi homemaker who steps away from her routine life to travel to Delhi for a school reunion. Over the course of seven days, the experience allows her to reconnect with her younger self and rediscover her identity beyond her roles as a wife and mother.
Shilpa also featured in ‘KD: The Devil’, directed by Prem, which stars Dhruva Sarja in the lead role alongside Sanjay Dutt, V. Ravichandran, Ramesh Aravind, Reeshma Nanaiah, Jisshu Sengupta and Nora Fatehi.
