Mumbai: Actress Tanushree Dutta has shared her views on the ongoing Gen Z protests, urging young people to voice their concerns responsibly while stressing the importance of national security and border stability.
Taking to social media, Tanushree posted a message that read, “Gen-Z ke kandhe par bandook hai… Nishana hai India.” She followed it by stating that reforms in the education system have already begun and that the focus should now shift toward strengthening the country’s borders and pursuing constructive goals.
She also wrote that a well-functioning administrative system should not be disrupted solely because of heightened emotions or public pressure.
Addressing the younger generation, the actress said that while their concerns are valid and their contribution to the country’s future is widely acknowledged, they should avoid being influenced by misinformation. She added that India’s leadership is working hard to ensure the nation’s safety and stability.
Tanushree further cautioned that weakening the country’s leadership during a sensitive period could make India vulnerable to external threats. She advised young people to understand that politics is often more complex than it appears and urged them to be careful about whom they trust.
In an accompanying video, the actress elaborated on her views, saying that any major change in the country’s leadership at the present time could have serious consequences, given the security challenges along India’s borders, particularly with Bangladesh and China.
She claimed that the Bangladesh border had not been fully sealed earlier and suggested that recent developments could be linked to the situation there. According to her, efforts to strengthen border security have led to reactions that are now surfacing in different forms.
Referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Tanushree said they had taken steps to tighten security along the Bangladesh border. While acknowledging that the student protests over the paper leak were based on genuine concerns, she argued that the core issue has already been addressed and that further escalation is unnecessary.
The actress maintained that continued unrest could be driven by forces opposed to stricter border controls. She also urged political and social groups to allow those in leadership positions to continue their work, saying that replacing key decision-makers during a period of heightened security challenges could weaken the country’s preparedness.
Concluding her remarks, Tanushree reiterated that although the anger among Gen Z over issues like paper leaks is understandable, the situation should not be allowed to escalate further, as it could indirectly benefit those seeking to undermine India’s security. She suggested that the current focus should remain on resolving internal issues while ensuring the country’s borders remain protected.
