Mumbai: Actress Shilpa Shetty is soaking in the spiritual charm of Nepal and has shared a glimpse of her visit to the revered Pashupatinath Temple in Kathmandu.
The actress posted a picture of herself dressed in a bright yellow traditional outfit, standing with folded hands in front of the iconic temple. Captioning the image, she simply wrote, “@pashupatinath temple #nepaldiaries.”
Dedicated to Lord Pashupati, a revered form of Lord Shiva, the Pashupatinath Temple stands on the banks of the holy Bagmati River and is among the oldest and most significant Hindu pilgrimage sites in South Asia. Recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979, the temple complex features the main pagoda-style shrine along with more than 500 smaller temples.
On the work front, Shilpa was last seen in the Kannada action thriller KD: The Devil, directed by Prem. The film features an ensemble cast including Dhruva Sarja, Sanjay Dutt, V. Ravichandran, Ramesh Aravind, Reeshma Nanaiah, Jisshu Sengupta and Nora Fatehi. The film’s music is composed by Arjun Janya, while William David handled the cinematography and Sanketh Achar took charge of editing.
She is currently hosting the reality cooking show Maa Hai Na, where celebrity contestants team up with a parent or an adult child to take part in cooking challenges and light-hearted entertainment segments.
Shilpa made her Bollywood debut with the 1993 thriller Baazigar and went on to appear in several successful films, including Main Khiladi Tu Anari and Jaanwar.
Recently, the actress also dismissed viral social media posts that falsely attributed statements on reservation to her. Calling them “completely fabricated” and “malicious garbage,” she urged people not to believe or circulate the fake claims.
