Mumbai Actress Rashmika Mandanna has reportedly sustained a serious hip injury while filming a high-energy dance sequence, forcing doctors to recommend complete rest for the next six weeks.
According to media reports, the actress, who has been juggling the shoots of her upcoming films ‘Ranabaali’ and ‘Mysaa’, suffered a complete tendon detachment in her hip after enduring a series of physically demanding action and dance sequences.
Doctors are said to have been surprised by the severity of the injury, noting that such tendon damage is more commonly seen in professional athletes undergoing intense physical training. Following the mandatory rest period, Rashmika is expected to undergo a structured rehabilitation programme to regain strength and mobility.
The injury could affect the schedules of her ongoing film projects and brand commitments. Rashmika is currently balancing work on four major films while also serving as the face of nearly 30 national and international brands.
Just days before reports of her injury surfaced, celebrated choreographer Brinda, who is working with Rashmika on a song for director Rawindra Pulle’s action film Mysaa, had praised the actress for her remarkable dedication.
In an Instagram post, Brinda commended Rashmika’s relentless work ethic, saying her commitment from rehearsals to the final shoot was exceptional. She added that in all her years in the industry, she had rarely seen an actress display such discipline, preparation and determination.
Brinda also revealed that Rashmika remained focused on perfecting every movement despite being in pain, readily accepting feedback and putting it into practice with a positive attitude. She expressed confidence that audiences would appreciate the effort the actress had invested in Mysaa.
Mysaa has already generated considerable buzz since its announcement. The film recently made headlines after its makers revealed that the team had successfully completed a key underwater sequence featuring Rashmika, adding to anticipation surrounding the project.
