Former JPSC Chairman L. Khiyangte Arrives at CID Office, Avoids Media

Ranchi: Former Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) Chairman L. Khiyangte arrived at the CID headquarters in Ranchi on Tuesday amid the ongoing investigation into alleged irregularities in recruitment examinations.

Khiyangte reached the CID office in an Ola cab (a Swift Dzire), where officials and media personnel were already present. As reporters attempted to question him upon his arrival, he declined to respond and walked straight into the office without making any statement.

The CID is currently probing alleged irregularities in the 14th Civil Services Examination and several other recruitment exams conducted by the JPSC. Khiyangte’s visit to the CID office has sparked speculation, although neither the CID nor Khiyangte has issued an official statement explaining the purpose of his visit.

Earlier, the CID had conducted searches at Khiyangte’s office chamber at the JPSC headquarters, his government residence, and several other locations as part of its investigation.

The agency is expected to question the former JPSC chairman in connection with the alleged recruitment irregularities.
