Congress Leaders Meet CM Hemant Soren to Fine-Tune Rajya Sabha Election Strategy

Ranchi: With the Rajya Sabha elections in Jharkhand drawing closer, political parties have intensified their preparations. As part of these efforts, senior Congress leaders met Chief Minister Hemant Soren at his Kanke Road residence on Monday to discuss the alliance’s strategy for the upcoming polls.

The meeting was attended by Jharkhand Congress in-charge K. Raju, Rajya Sabha MP Dr. Syed Naseer Hussain, Jharkhand Congress president Keshav Mahato Kamlesh, Congress Legislature Party leader Pradeep Yadav, and Congress observer for the Rajya Sabha elections Ajay Sharma. The leaders held detailed discussions with the Chief Minister on election planning and coordination.

According to sources, legislators of the INDIA bloc will gather at the Chief Minister’s residence on June 16 and 17 to participate in a mock polling exercise aimed at ensuring smooth voting during the Rajya Sabha election.

MLAs to Undergo Two-Day Mock Poll Training

Following the meeting, Congress leaders emphasized the importance of preparing legislators for the election process. Party sources indicated that several MLAs will be participating in a Rajya Sabha election for the first time, making it necessary to familiarize them with voting procedures through a structured mock poll.

The training sessions are scheduled for June 16 and 17. Congress leaders expressed confidence that all INDIA bloc legislators remain united and asserted that the alliance is well-positioned to secure both Rajya Sabha seats from Jharkhand.
