Mumbai: Actress and animal welfare advocate Raveena Tandon has once again won hearts with her compassion for animals after rescuing a frightened stray puppy from an airport and helping him find a permanent home.
Sharing the heartwarming journey on social media, Raveena introduced the puppy, whom she named Bhairav, and documented his rescue, medical care, and eventual adoption. In one video, the actress is seen travelling with the puppy in her car while expressing concern about the fate of stray dogs removed from airport premises.
She later took Bhairav to a veterinarian, where he underwent a health check-up and received vaccinations before beginning the next chapter of his life.
Describing the experience as a “wholesome, heartfelt day,” Raveena revealed that she found the puppy alone at the airport after other stray dogs had reportedly been cleared from the area. She believes the little dog may have hidden out of fear and escaped the removal drive.
The actress shared that Bhairav soon found a loving forever home in New Delhi. Thanking the adopter, Krishnapriya, Raveena wrote that the puppy is now surrounded by affection, care, and blessings from his new family.
The rescue took place during her trip to Rishikesh, where she had visited spiritual leaders and received blessings before heading to the airport. Raveena also expressed gratitude to those who assisted her during the journey, including religious leaders, hosts, and drivers who ensured safe travel despite rainy weather conditions.
The touching rescue story has drawn praise from fans, with many applauding the actress for using her platform to promote animal welfare and responsible pet adoption.
