Kriti Sanon marks 12 years in Bollywood, remembers debut ‘Heropanti’ scene with gol gappas

Mumbai- Actress Kriti Sanon turned emotional as she celebrated 12 years in the Hindi film industry on May 23.

Taking to social media, Kriti re-shared a fan-made collage that featured some of her most memorable characters and looks from her journey in Bollywood.

Reacting to the edit, the actress wrote, “Wow! It’s been 12 years since I entered this magical world of movies!”

In another Instagram story, Kriti posted a clip from her debut film Heropanti, where she was seen enjoying gol gappas in a light-hearted scene. Sharing the memory, she joked, “Haha I’m such a foodie that my first shot on screen in my debut Hindi film was having gol gappas.”

Kriti stepped into Bollywood in 2014 with director Sabbir Khan’s action-romance drama “Heropanti,” opposite Tiger Shroff, who also made his acting debut with the film. Released on May 23, 2014, the movie also featured Prakash Raj. Kriti played the role of Dimpy, a carefree young woman caught in a love story amid family conflicts.

Over the years, the actress has delivered several notable performances in films such as Bareilly Ki Barfi, Luka Chuppi, Dilwale, Raabta, Hum Do Hamare Do, Bhediya, Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, Crew and Do Patti.

Kriti also received the National Film Award for Best Actress for her performance in Mimi.

On the professional front, the actress is reportedly preparing for Cocktail 2, where she is expected to portray a bold and glamorous character. The role has already drawn comparisons to Deepika Padukone’s popular character Veronica from Cocktail, which also starred Saif Ali Khan and Diana Penty.

The sequel is also expected to feature Shahid Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna in key roles.
