Fresh Fuel Price Hike in Jamshedpur Adds to Public Woes

Jamshedpur: Fuel prices in Jamshedpur have increased yet again, with petrol and diesel becoming costlier for the third time in the last eight days. The repeated hikes are putting additional pressure on the pockets of common people.

According to the latest rates released by Indian Oil Corporation, the revised prices came into effect from 6 am on Saturday. Petrol now costs Rs 102.53 per litre after an increase of Rs 0.87, while diesel prices have gone up by Rs 0.91 per litre, taking the rate to Rs 97.59 per litre.

Premium fuel variants have also become more expensive. XP100 is now priced at Rs 164.74 per litre, while XG fuel is being sold at Rs 103.09 per litre.

CNG consumers have also been affected, as the price of compressed natural gas has been increased by Re 1 per kg.

The latest hike is expected to impact daily commuters, transport operators, and household budgets across the city.
