Mumbai: Actress Tia Bajpai says her latest track “Love Mafia” marks an important milestone in her creative journey, describing it as a true reflection of how she has evolved as an artist over the years.
Known for films like Haunted – 3D and 1920: Evil Returns, Tia has pushed her boundaries with this project by singing in multiple languages — including English, Hindi, Swahili, Korean, and Latin. She shared that the challenge was not just about pronunciation, but about connecting emotionally with each language.
“Every language has its own soul. It was not just about getting the words right, but feeling them authentically,” she said, reflecting on the experience.
Tia, who began her acting career with television shows like Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyann, admitted that the journey wasn’t without its challenges. However, she believes the process helped her grow immensely as an artist.
“There were moments of doubt, but also immense growth. ‘Love Mafia’ is very close to my heart because it reflects my evolution as an artist,” she added.
Interestingly, Tia had earlier made her singing debut in Haunted – 3D, directed by Vikram Bhatt, where she starred alongside Mahaakshay Chakraborty.
Looking ahead, the actress is gearing up for her Hollywood debut, where she promises to showcase a completely new side of herself. According to her, this phase of her career is about reinvention and pushing limits.
“This next phase is all about reinvention. The role demands physical strength, discipline, and a completely different mindset. I’m excited for audiences to see this side of me,” she said.
Tia was last seen in the legal drama Lakeerein, directed by Durgesh Pathak, alongside Ashutosh Rana, Bidita Bag, and Gaurav Chopra. The film explored the sensitive and often overlooked issue of marital rape within marriage.
