Ranchi: In a commendable step towards heritage conservation, BNI Diamonds, a prominent business networking group, organized a large-scale cleanliness drive at the historic Marsalli Hill, aiming to restore its once admired natural beauty.
The initiative witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 100 individuals, including 40–45 families. Participants ranged from young children as small as two years old to senior citizens up to 65, reflecting a strong sense of community involvement. During the drive, waste amounting to nearly three tractor loads was collected and disposed of in a scientific manner.
Marsalli Hill, which had gained popularity during the lockdown for activities like cycling, yoga, and nature walks, had gradually lost its appeal due to increasing litter and neglect. The effort by BNI Diamonds marks a significant move towards reclaiming the site’s cleanliness and encouraging visitors to return.
The drive concluded on a spiritual note with a Rudrabhishek ceremony at the ancient Shiva temple located atop the hill. This was followed by a community feast prepared by local families. Team Green extended valuable support throughout the initiative, while donations were also made for the development of the temple, reinforcing the area’s cultural and religious importance.
Through this initiative, BNI Diamonds has not only promoted cleanliness but also inspired collective responsibility towards preserving local heritage.
