Manasi Parekh Shares Her Life Mantra: Creating Her Own Path

Mumbai — National Award-winning actress Manasi Parekh has opened up about the philosophy that drives both her life and career, emphasizing her belief in forging her own path instead of following the conventional route.

Taking to Instagram, the actress shared a transition reel that begins with her dancing casually at home and shifts to a proud moment of her holding an award on stage. Alongside the video, she expressed a thought that has stayed close to her heart: “Hum banaye apni nayi jagah.”

Manasi explained that she has always chosen to step away from predictable paths, even when it meant facing uncertainty. According to her, taking that risk has consistently paid off. Coming from a grounded middle-class background with no industry connections, she says her journey—from dreaming big to now creating opportunities for others—has been deeply fulfilling.

She began her acting career with the TV show Kitni Mast Hai Zindagi in 2004 and gained recognition with India Calling in 2005. Over the years, she has been part of several popular shows, including Gulaal, Remote Control, and Laughter Ke Phatke. She also appeared in the Tamil film Leelai opposite Shiv Panditt.

Her Hindi film debut came with Yeh Kaisi Life, which premiered at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa.

In 2019, she ventured into production with the Gujarati web series Do Not Disturb, followed by her Gujarati film debut Golkeri in 2020. Her performance in Kutch Express earned her the Best Actress award at the 70th National Film Awards in 2024, making her the first Gujarati actress to receive the honor.

She also found commercial success with her horror-comedy Jhamkudi. Most recently, she was seen in Jab Khuli Kitaab, directed by Saurabh Shukla. The film stars Pankaj Kapur and Dimple Kapadia as an elderly couple navigating the complexities of a late-life divorce.
