Daisy Shah Tells Troll: Good Luck Spreading Hate in the Name of Religion

Mumbai: Actress Daisy Shah hit back strongly at a social media troll who tried to target her after a video surfaced showing the actress preparing iftaar food.

The controversy began when a user shared the clip online and wrote, “Meet Daisy Shah. She has a problem with firecrackers but attends iftaar parties and even cooks there,” attempting to question the actress’s stand. Several others joined in with sarcastic remarks such as, “All this to make Salman happy!” and “Who exactly is Daisy Shah? She must be the caterer for that party,” among other comments.

Responding to the criticism, Daisy Shah took to X (formerly Twitter) and dismissed the comparison while condemning attempts to spread hatred in the name of religion.

“Firecrackers and cooking food are completely different from each other. Good luck spreading hate in the name of religion. I hope you get well soon,” she wrote.
