Mumbai — Producer and former model Pragya Kapoor shared her emotional and nostalgic experience of walking the runway at Lakme Fashion Week after a gap of 13 years.
Returning to the celebrated fashion event stirred a flood of memories for Pragya, reminding her of how far she has come — both personally and professionally.
“Walking the ramp after 13 long years brought back a rush of memories. But this time, it was different — I was there as a producer, not just a model,” Pragya told IANS. “It made me reflect on my journey, from where I started to where I am today. It was wonderful meeting so many old friends who are still ruling the runway. Talking to them about old times felt truly special.”
She went on to express how her relationship with fashion has evolved over the years. “For me, fashion is about self-expression. This time, I walked the ramp not to look perfect, but to celebrate who I am. Fashion can be a powerful voice for reinvention, and I’m proud to be part of that conversation,” she added.
At the event, Pragya dazzled in a striking silver lehenga paired with bold, statement accessories.
On the professional front, Pragya Kapoor is best known for her role in Amole Gupte’s Hawaa Hawaai, which also starred Partho Gupte and Saqib Saleem, where she played the role of Pragya Nanda.
Transitioning from acting to production, she co-produced the 2018 film Kedarnath alongside Ronnie Screwvala, Abhishek Kapoor, and Abhishek Nayyar. She is also the co-founder of Guy In The Sky Pictures and was recently set to co-produce Sharaabi in collaboration with Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series.
