Ramgarh: An inter-district meeting was held at the Ramgarh Superintendent of Police office auditorium under the leadership of Sunil Bhaskar, Inspector General of Police, North Chotanagpur Range, with seven district police chiefs of the range in attendance. Senior officials from Dhanbad, Hazaribagh, Bokaro, Ramgarh, Chatra, Giridih, and Koderma districts, along with other subordinate officers, participated in the review.
The IG congratulated all seven district police chiefs for ensuring a peaceful Durga Puja and emphasised maintaining law and order during the festival season. The meeting focused on reviewing the Naxal situation, organized crime, communal and sensitive incidents, prevention of poppy cultivation, adherence to police headquarters circulars, updates on beat policing and the Rakshak app, pending cases under POCSO and NDPS, CPMS and CCTNS data updates, investigation and prosecution status, security of courts and judges’ residences, witness protection, HRMS, road safety initiatives, cybercrime prevention, jail inspections, and other departmental and public safety measures.
Police chiefs were instructed to remain vigilant during upcoming festivals like Diwali and Chhath, ensure proactive action against cybercrime through awareness campaigns, and maintain readiness to address all public safety concerns effectively.
